The Acting Head of Service in Rivers State, Dr. Inyingi Brown, has clarified that the ongoing verification of civil servants in the state is not a witch hunt.
Speaking in an interview, Dr. Brown explained that the exercise is aimed at helping the government cut down on unnecessary expenditure and improve efficiency in the civil service.
She also disclosed that fresh biometric data collection will be carried out for local government workers and pensioners as part of the verification process.
