Chairperson of the International Federation of Women Lawyers in Rivers State, Adata Bio-Briggs has revealed how to dramatically reduce the risk of sexual abuse.
Adata, in a statement said most times sexual abuse cases occur in isolated one-on-one situations between children and adults, and that eliminating or reducing such situations will reduce the risk.
“Most times, sexual abuse cases occur in isolated, one-on-one situations. If you eliminate or reduce isolated, one-on-one situations between children and adults, as well as children and other youth, you’ll dramatically reduce the risk of sexual abuse,” she said.
The outspoken FIDA Boss who was reacting to the high rate of sexual cases lately, has been at the forefront in the fight against all forms of sexual abuses and domestic violence.
She was recently honored by different organizations for her contributions in the fight against such vices.
