A female passenger yesterday, died in a fatal auto crash along the Opobo axis of the Unity Road in Rivers State.
Sources say the driver of the vehicle was on top speed when he lost control and ran into a bush.
It was gathered that other passengers sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital.
Meanwhile, the chairman of Opobo local government area, Enyiada Cookey-gam has commiserated with the family of the deceased.
The council Boss in a statement appealed to road users to adhere to speed limit when playing the road.
His statement reads,

ONOLGA Council Boss, Rt Hon (Dr) Enyiada Cookey-gam sincerely sympathizes with the family of the young lady whose life was cut short in a ghastly auto crash along Opobo axis of the unity road.
The council boss in his condolence message yesterday June 11 said it was a sad day not just for the bereaved family, but also for the council and the entire LGA.
Rt Hon Enyiada Clifford Cookey-Gam also used the medium to appeal to road users to adhere to speed limits when plying the route and as well obey the speed breakers constructed to curtail road accident.
He prayed for a peaceful rest for the departed soul Amen.
