More reactions have continued to trail the suspension of some Local Government Chairmen in Rivers State by Governor Nyesom Wike, with the latest being the Civil Society Organisation.
The CSO has criticised the action of the governor, describing it as a gross violation of the constitution.
Asim Adams, Head of legal team of the organisation who made this known in a statement yesterday said the suspension should be reversed as it is a threat to democracy and the rule of law.
Adams said, it is the legislative arm of the council and not the governor that has the rights and powers to suspend and remove a local government chairman from office.
