The Civil Society Organisation in Rivers State has called on the state government to intervene in the salary payment saga between the Ahoada-West Council Boss, Hope Ikiriko and some of his staff. This is so it does not snowball into a major crisis.

Member of the organisation, Enefaa Georgewil, in a chat with journalists over the weekend said the council boss is fighting a good cause in the wrong way.

He said stopping of the workers salaries because of the offence of the Local Government Civil Service Commission is wrong.

He called on the council boss to pay the workers their salaries while going ahead to resolve the other issues at hand.
