The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Okon Effiong has ordered the arrest of vigilante groups bearing firearms across the state.
The CP gave the order through spokesperson of the command, Grace Iringi-Koko Today.
According to him, the ban on the use of firearms by vigilante groups is still enforce, and ordered Divisional Police Officers to arrest anyone found flouting the order.
He also urged residents to report any vigilante group seen detaining anyone.
