Chairperson of the Nigeria Labour Congress in Rivers State, Beatrice Itubor has reportedly emerged governorship candidate of Labour Party in the State.
Itubor who is known as the Iron Lady of Labour in the state, has been a strong critic of the administration of Governor, Nyesom Wike.
This is due to the alleged failure of the state government to pay pension and gratuities of civil servants.
Itubor had recently raised an alarm of lleged fraud in the civil service. She said since the inception of the Contributory Pension Scheme, the State Government has not contributed a dime.
Itubor is expected to slug it out with Sim Fubara of the PDP, Tonye Cole of the APC amongst other candidates.
