The All Progressives Congress in Rivers State has reacted to the relocation of the State Elections Petitions Tribunal to Abuja.
Publicity Secretary of the party’s campaign council in the state, Sogbeye Eli in a statement hailed the decision, adding that it would check the rascality of the ruling party in the state.
According to him, it would also guarantee the safety of witnesses coming to testify in court and lawyers who will participate in the trial.
“Witnesses coming to testify must be at absolute liberty without any fear of intimidation, threat or harassment,” he said.
“Lawyers, who will participate in the trial, must have the liberty to canvas their arguments from the bar. The judges who are sitting in the tribunal must have the unfettered liberty to exercise justice in accordance with the law,” he added.
