We are not surprised that more than 24hrs after the horrible attack on one of the hostels of the Rivers State University, no single person has been arrested in connection to that dangerous security breach. Unfortunately this exposes the underbelly of the University management as it is clear that there is no seriousness on their part given the fact that this is not the first time such a security breach has been reported by the inmates of the hostels on campus. To think that there is no clear pointer to those involved, confirms the absence of CCTV cameras at strategic locations in that University.
It might not be out of place to demand for a security overhaul at the RSU to forestall future incidence(s).
