Rivers Governorship hopeful, Hon. Ojukaye Anachree has again said that Arch. Tonye Cole was not chosen as the consensus candidate of the party but, was only selected by some elders of the party and recommended to the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi.
Amachree, in a statement yesterday, said Amaechi was yet to endorse Cole, adding that the Minister will not do anything that would bring the party down.
According to him, the consensus arrangement will lead the party nowhere, noting that the Rivers APC will conduct governorship primaries, for its governorship hopefuls.
Ojukaye, explained that Rivers State needs a government that will generate employment for Rivers youths, ensure the security of lives and properties of Rivers people, amongst others.
He noted that job creation would help solve the insecurity issues along the Kalabari Road and the State at large.
