APC State Assembly candidate for Asari Toru Constituency 11 in last saturday’s election, Okorinama West popularly known as ‘Shaggy’ yesterday escaped death when he was attacked by unknown gunmen.
West, in a statement said gunmen dressed in military uniform opened fire at his vehicle around the Nzemanze axis of Diobu, Port Harcourt.
He said, he escaped and drove into the Mile 1 Police station along Ikwerre Road, before the gunmen retracted.
He stated that they are after his life because they know he won the just concluded Constituency election which was rigged in favor of the People’s Democratic Party.
According to him, he would have been killed if not that he was driving in a bullet proof vehicle, and wondered why someone is after his life.
West, declared that no man can kill him as one with God is majority.
