Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party in Rivers State, Sen. Magnus Abe has denied reports making the rounds that he has stepped down from the governorship race.
Abe, in a statement at the weekend described the report as a lie noting that it is simply a scheme by opponents who are trying to deny Rivers people the opportunity to come out and vote.
He stated that he is not in any partnership with any individual nor group to truncate the zeal and desires of Rivers people.
His statement reads,
Dearest, Kindly disregard and discountenance any rumour going round that I, Senator Magnus Ngei Abe, has stepped down from the 2023 Governorship race, THAT’S A LIE. It is simply a scheme by opponents who are trying to deny you the opportunity to come out on Saturday, 11th March, 2023, to exercise your right to vote. n
I am not in any such partnership with any individual nor group to truncate the zeal and desires of Rivers People. Nothing is worth more-than your friendship & partnership.
