The Sen. Magnus Abe support group in the diaspora has backed the decision of the SDP guber candidate to withdraw his petitions from the Elections Tribunal.
Secretary of the group, Dumbari Tsaro Deezua, in a statement said the house during a meeting unanimously agreed with the decision for the withdrawal and are fully in support of it.
He also said they are firm, steady and solidly behind Abe in any subsequent public or political endeavors.
His statement reads:
“On Sunday, May 7, 2023, the Senator Magnus Abe Support group in the diaspora had a congress meeting for an internal review of the just concluded elections in Rivers State, the ongoing litigations, withdrawal of his petition and to chart a way forward.
“The house unanimously agreed with the decision for the withdrawal and hereby support the decision.
“We also wish to declare that we are firm, steady and solidly behind him in any subsequent public or political endeavors”.
