The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency in Rivers State, says 17 drug peddlers arrested in different parts of the stare were convicted in the month of March.
Spokesperson of the Command, Emmanuel Ogungbada made this known in a statement at the weekend.
He said the convicts are currently serving different jail terms at the Port Harcourt Correctional Centre.
According to him, a total of 23 drug peddlers which includes 17 males and 6 females were arrested with a total drug seizure of 208.864 kilograms comprising of cocaine and other illicit drugs.
