A 13-year-old homeless boy who hails from Imo State, Master, Isreal Michael was yesterday, spotted by our Team, sitting helplessly in a ditch in front of a popular eatery at the GRA axis of Port Harcourt.
The boy, in a chat with us, said he has been sleeping by the roadside since February, after his aunt threw him out of the house.
Isreal, explained that his dad who resides at Umuahia brought him to Port Harcourt, to stay with the aunt at Eliioparanwo Junction along Ada George, last year.
He said few months later, the aunt asked him to go meet his parents in Umuahia, without transport fare. This was after the building was sold and all occupants ordered to leave.
He also said the aunt, identified as Mrs. Chimamanda left to an unknown destination and since then he has been leaving on the streets of Port Harcourt, begging to feed to stay alive.
The boy, who begged to be reunited with his dad was handed over to some police officers, attached to the Rivers State Taskforce 01, GRA, to help reunite him with his parents.
