Unconfirmed report has it that residents of demolished Iloabuchi Waterfront in Diobu, Port Harcourt, has dragged Governor, Nyesom Wike to the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt, over demolition of their houses.

The residents are accusing the state governor, Barr, Nyesom Wike of demolishing their buildings without due compensation.

Some of them had in a chat with us, described the demolition as “an act of wickedness” while others said the time frame for them to vacate was too short.

Our correspondent, who visited some streets along the affected area, on Sunday, confirmed that one week after the demolition, some persons are still sleeping by the road side, as they have nowhere to go to.

He said, a widow with three children at Ojike street, pleaded with the state government to come to their aid, by providing shelter for them.
