The Rivers State Committee on Environmental Sanitation has called on residents of areas without receptacles to contact the commission.
Spokesperson of the committee, Olalekan Ige disclosed this in a chat with journalists in Port Harcourt Today.
He stated that it is illegal for residents to dump refuse on unapproved dump sites in the state.
He called on residents of the state to desist from dumping refuse indiscriminately as anyone caught by the taskforce would be dealt with in accordance with the laws of the land.
He also noted that the committee is committed towards ensuring that the state is rid of refuse.
