Residents of the Rumuolugu axis of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, have reportedly clashed with officials of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED) over an attempt to disconnect the electricity supply to the residence of legendary Nigerian musician Duncan Mighty.
In a trending video, residents were seen resisting the disconnection attempt despite the presence of security operatives at the scene.
The residents reportedly argued that Duncan Mighty was not at home and described the decision to disconnect his electricity in his absence as disrespectful.
The confrontation caused panic in the area, with some activities temporarily brought to a halt as residents resisted the PHED officials.
