International Pop Singer, D’banj who was accused of rape by one Miss Seyitan Babatayo, has reacted to the backlash by fans over the incident once again, stating that he remains innocent until proven guilty.
The singer stated this in an online video where he was shown dancing to one of his hit songs.
The lady Miss. Seyitan Babatayo took to her Twitter handle few days ago to accuse the singer of raping her in 2018, in a hotel.
After the allegation, the singer responded by slamming the lady with a N100 million lawsuit. There were also reports of D’banj arresting the lady, which made her to drop the case against him.
The incident generated reactions online as some Nigerians blasted D’banj for the act, accusing him of intimidating the lady. The development later caught the attention of the IGP, Mohammed Adamu who ordered a full investigation into the matter.
Investigations are currently ongoing as Nigerians await the conclusion of the matter.
