The Enforcers of Good Governance, a prominent socio-political advocacy group, held an expanded stakeholder meeting in Rivers State on Monday to affirm support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and unveil plans for a grassroots mobilisation campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting, convened under the leadership of National Convener Dr. Kingsley Ogu, follows the group’s recent declaration of alignment with the current administration’s political agenda.
In a communiqué issued after the gathering, the Enforcers pledged “unwavering and unalloyed” support for President Tinubu, praising his leadership and the Renewed Hope Agenda for advancing democratic ideals and national development.
The group also commended Tinubu’s intervention in the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State, describing his role as “timely and statesmanlike.” Citing recent progress in peace efforts, the Enforcers appealed to the President to consider lifting the state of emergency in Rivers as a symbolic gesture ahead of the June 12 Democracy Day.
Representatives from all 319 political wards in Rivers State attended the meeting, with the group emphasizing that each delegate is a registered voter committed to supporting Tinubu’s re-election.
As part of its 2027 strategy, the Enforcers announced the launch of a nationwide door-to-door sensitization campaign aimed at promoting the administration’s achievements and encouraging civic participation.
Dr. Ogu called on civil society organizations, political actors, and citizens to join the initiative, describing it as a mission to “safeguard democracy and build a more prosperous nation.”
