Propaganda has always been part of both Politics and War and even situations of ordinary quarrels.
Most times, propaganda verges on and shares Boundary with outright falsehood, absolute lie.
That much we know.
To be sure:
Magnus never said anything about paying or not paying N5M to use Government facility for campaign or whether or not we will be using Government facility.
What Magnus said:
‘… I have asked the DG of the Campaign Council to go and see the Commissioner of Education over the issue, so that we can have a conversation on that….”
How you interpret, even understand this, is a reflection of your own worldview.
For me, it’s the course of wisdom and others have their own approach to the matter to which they are also entitled, like promising casket as a byproduct.
We see things differently, but no one should be lying about what another said.
They have left Wike and are now attacking Magnus for not behaving like them.
Since they have been adopting Amaechian style of politics in which attacks, insults, denigration, defamation, sabre rattling, putting down and outright ridiculing of the political opponents, are the features of the Amaechian politics, what has ever come out?
Has it not been a continuity of failure to failure?
You are responding to a Government Executive Order with casket to bury anyone in confrontation with you over it, another person is responding through the device of a conversation over it, and you say yours with Casket is better.
Fine for you.

For me, a conversion over it is better.

I should be trading in coffins and caskets and morbidities?

Allow those of us who preferred reasoned engagements as an option.
You choose casket.
We choose conversion.

What’s the problem there?
The Government of Rivers State of Nigeria, which Senator Magnus Ngei Abe shall, Deo Volenti , form and lead, from May 29, 2023, shall give everyone opportunity, within the Law, to live and lead their lives to the fullest extent possible according to their God-given abilities.
The Abe Government shall never, ever prefer casket to a conversion, no matter the political pressure!
When we were in the University, towards Examination, students who never read nor prepared for the Exams and who knew they would fail, anyway, were the ones always holding on to any straw to cause riots and demonstrations on campus, so that there would be breakdown of law and Order, school shut down and everyone asked to go home and the Exams which they feared, the reason for fomenting the riot, postponed.
Genuine, serious-minded students who had prepared and hoped, and even knew they would pass, would be doing the contrary to preserve the peace so the election, sorry, the examination, I meant to say, would hold.
So it’s that some people now, are preferring casket to a conversion, even abusing and maligning those who chose conversation over casket, as election nears!
As in the university, its students and Examination, so in the polity, its politicians and elections!
