The All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, has commended its leader, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi for coming second in the just concluded presidential primary of the party today.

Publicity Secretary of party, Chris Finebone in a statement said the former Transport Minister made them proud.

According him, coming second against a sitting Vice President, and President of the Senate, is no small thing.

He revealed that withdrawal from the race by some aspirants was to undermine the former Rivers State Governor.

Finebone also noted that the party in the state will sit down; chart a way forward, do the right thing and move on.

Amaechi, scored a total of 316 votes to finish second in the primary.
