Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been declared winner of last saturday’s election in Oru East, the local government area of Governor, Hope Uzodinma of Imo state.
Tinubu secured a total of 17,639 votes, defeating the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi who scored 2,530 votes, while the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Atiku Abubakar, polled 618 votes.
Uzodinma, shortly after the results were announced commended his people for believing in him by voting for the APC.
