The National Emergency Management Agency, has warned that by the second week of November, the rains will be adverse in Rivers State.
South South Coordinator of NEMA, Godwin Tepikor, disclosed this during a stakeholders meeting in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.
He said the state must prepare for the looming flood that will affect communities in the coming weeks.
He urged residents of flood-prone areas to be prepared and move to designated camps for safety if need be.
Mr. Godwin noted that the Agency is doing everything within its power to cushion the effect of flood in the affected areas.
