The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency in Rivers State has commended Rivers people for their corporation in ensuring that drug offenders are arrested and brought to book.
Emmanuel Ogumgbada, Deputy commander, Media and Advocacy in a statement yesterday, said the agency convicted 14 drug offenders at the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt in the month of November.
He also said the agency arrested 28 suspects comprising 21 males and 7 females including a pregnant woman, Kate Ibinabo in Okirika local government area of the state.
He assured that the command will increase her offensive action against illicit drugs, and also increase surveillance during the yuletide.
The command warned those involved to desist from the act or face the full weight of the law when caught.
