About sixteen Bureau De Change operators arrested by the EFCC few days ago in Port Harcourt, have been remanded to the Port Harcourt correctional center by a Chief, Magistrate Court.
The suspects were arrested for alleged unlawful banking business which contravenes the Banks and other financial institution Act 2020.
The presiding Magistrate, Alatuwo Fubara gave the ruling following an ex parte application brought by the Police asking for time to complete the investigation and charge them to the appropriate court.
The case was djourned to March 7, 2024.
