The Nigeria Police has reacted to a trending video Of Police Officers assaulting a man in Rivers State, Today.
A video of Police officers assaulting a man and a female with cane along the East West Road axis of Emouha junction went viral this morning.
Spokesperson of the command, CSP Adejobi in a statement condemned the incident, adding that it is unethical for a police officer to flog someone irrespective of what they might have done.
He noted that he has asked the state Police command to fish out the perpetrators.
‘’Quite unfortunate. I have asked the Rivers State Command to fish them out. This is unpolice, unethical, and condemned. Whatever the man must have done, he doesn’t deserve this be^ating. Be^ating him like a baby?? A grown-up man?. We will surely get the men,” he said.
Social media users have since condemned the action of the mobile Police officers.
