The Rivers State Police Command has reacted to claims by a Human Rights Organisation in the state that one of its officers, Peter Ebah alleged to have raped a widow at Sakpenwa, Tai, LGA, has been allowed to resume duty.

Spokesperson of the State Command, SP. Nnamdi Omoni said the claim by the group is false as the officer is still being detained at the state CID, while investigation is currently ongoing.

SP Omoni, who made this known while appearing on a radio programme yesterday, in Port Harcourt, said justice must be served on the matter.

The organisation had yesterday claimed that they saw the officer Peter Ebah and other officers at their duty post. This was while they were on their way to visit the alleged rape victim in her home town.
