The Rivers State Police Command, has confirmed the killing of Mrs. Chigbewejim Lawyer, wife of a pastor by suspected hoodlums in Abarikpo community, Ahoada East local government area of the state.
The Police in a statement Today, said it is investigating the matter as those found culpable would be arrested.
Mrs. Lawyer was reportedly abducted and raped to death by hoodlums after she allegedly spoke ill of them.
The Centre For Basic Rights and Accountability had in a statement called on the Police to ensure the arrest of the perpetrators, alleging that the suspects were moving around in the community as revealed by the deceased woman’s husband in an interaction with them.
