The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the killing of a man by his son for allegedly refusing to give him money to purchase hard drugs in Rumuagholu Community in Obio/Akpor Council of Rivers State.

Spokesperson of the command, Grace Koko in a statement said the 20-year-old boy has been arrested.

She said the boy killed the deceased with a pistol, adding that an investigation is ongoing.

Meanwhile, sources say the boy, having been apprehended claimed that his father refused to give him money to buy hard drugs, which led to an argument that made him angrily hit him with a weapon.
