The Rivers State Police Command says it has arrested four suspected members of an armed robbery and kidnapping syndicate in Bori, Khana Local Government Area.
Police spokesperson, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, in a statement on Friday, said the suspects — identified as Solomon Chris, 26; Fabulous John, 26; Wisdom Kalongo, 30; and Wisdom Samuel, 33 — were apprehended on August 8, 2025, during a routine patrol by operatives of the Bori Division along Nkpee Street.
She explained that the arrest followed a distress call on the suspicious activities of some individuals in the area. Arma and ammunition were recovered from the suspects, including an ash-coloured Toyota Sienna with registration number BNY-758FS.
According to the statement, the suspects are in custody while efforts are underway to track down other fleeing members of the gang and recover more of their operational weapons.
The command urged residents to continue providing timely information to aid the fight against crime.
