The Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company has vowed to stop extortion of customers through estimated billing.
New Managing Director of the organization, Benson Uwheru made this known in a statement Today.
According to him, electricity consumers are not supposed to pay more than they consume, adding that he will put an end to it.
He also stated that their is a high level of electricity theft by consumers, noting that it is unlawful.
Benson Uwheru replaced the former chief executive officer (CEO) of the company, Dr Henry Ajagbawa, who has been appointed to manage the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEHD).
