The Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company, PHED, says customers can pay their bill with the old N500 and N1000 bank notes.
Some staff of the Company were seen in an open van along Iloabuchi street Today, announcing through a public address system that those yet to pay, can do so with the old notes before 10:00am on Monday morning.
They said after the above-mentioned time, the company would no longer accept the old notes.
During the announcement, residents were seen jubilating as they have been looking for ways to spend the old notes.
