The Mayor of Port Harcourt, Honourable Ezebunwo Ichemati has presented a draft estimate of Four Billion, Ninety-Seven Million, Three Hundred and Forty-Eight Thousand, Eight Hundred Naira, Ninety Kobo (N4,097,348,800.90) for the 2024 fiscal year before the Port Harcourt Legislative Assembly for consideration and approval.
Chidozie Victor Anuebunwa, Chief Press Secretary of the council made this known in a statement on Monday.
According to him, the supplementary budget which is made up of Three Billion, Seven Hundred and Ninety-Six Million, Six Hundred and Twenty-Five Thousand, Three Hundred and Twelve Naira, Eighty-Nine Kobo (N3,796,625,312.89) Only, while Two Hundred and Fifty-Nine Million, Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N259,750,000.00) only is earmarked as Recurrent Expenditure, and Forty Million, Nine Hundred and Seventy-Three Thousand, Four Hundred and Eighty-Eight Naira, One Kobo (N40,973,488.01) only as a mandatory estimated balance/reserve.
