The Rivers State Police Command says it is investigating the shooting of the mother of a former council of Ward 15(PHALGA), Endurance Elenwo.
Spokesperson of the command, Grace Koko who disclosed this in a statement yesterday, said the woman is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
Sources say suspected cultists stormed the family house of the councillor at Egede street and shot at him after he refused to give them “election security money.”
They said he escaped and the bullet hit the mom who was at home at the time of the incident.
