Tricycle operators plying the Eagle Island – Agip route in Port Harcourt have accused the Police of compelling them to buy daily tickets at the cost of N300.
Some of the operators in a chat with journalists say they pay for the tickets on a daily basis alongside other tickets.
They said no operator is allowed to operate without paying for the tickets which they described as illegal.
They called on the government to intervene and stop the Police from extorting them.
Recall that the Police few days warned officers in Rivers state against extortion.
