The number of persons who died in the stampede that occurred this morning in Port Harcourt has risen to 31.

The incident occurred during a programme organized by Kings Assembly to give out items to members of the public.

It was gathered that the stampede was as a result of crowd mismanagement, as those present wanted to receive the items at once.

Men, Women and Youths lost their lives in the stampede.

The church and the Police are yet to react to the incident as at the time of filing this report.
