A few months old baby was this morning at about 3:00am discovered at a waste receptacle at the Mile 3 axis of Diobu in Port Harcourt.
Coordinator of the Centre for Basic Rights and Accountability Campaign, Prince Wiro who made this known in a statement said the baby was discovered by Godstime Ihunwo, the Chief Security Officer of Mile 3 community.
His statement reads,
Comrade Godstime Ihunwo, CSO of Mile 3 Diobu, PortHarcourt called me early this morning by 3am that he discovered a child dumped at waste receptacle at about 3am this morning.I immediately left my house to their office.
We moved together to the Nkpolu Police station,Mile 3 Diobu to make formal compliant while a nurse was sought and found that early morning to give the baby who was still with placenta first aid.To the Glory of God the child who was almost dieing is responding to treatment.
