The presidential campaign council of the People’s Democratic Party, says the fate of Atiku Abubakar is in the hands of God and not that of Governor, Nyesom Wike or the other governors supporting him.
Director of research and strategy of the council, Pedro Obaseki in a statement few days ago accused Gov. Wike of being pompous and overrating himself.
According to him, Nigerins are tired of the antics of Wike noting that the party has moved on without his support.
He also said that Wike as a sitting governor could only mobilize 450,000 votes in 2019 and warned him not not overrate or over bloat himself.
Part of his statement reads,
Nigerians are tired and what I see is a Pompeian syndrome. When Emperor Pompey thought the whole of Rome was at its biggest they made him know and that is where we got the word pompous. I think Governor Wike may be having that,” the Atiku aide said in rebuffing Wike as pompous.
“Nigerians can see, we can hear, we are the ones feeling the pains. The arithmetic of the pain pocket that is affecting us is not what is affecting Wike.
No man is God. The fate of Atiku Abubakar is in the hands of God and the people of Nigeria not a bunch of five individuals who four of them are fighting to hold on to the reins of power that they will not be holding in another five months,”
