A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Kachi Ononuju has accused the Minister of Transportation Chibuike Amaechi of financial fraud of loans secured from China, under the guise of getting money for the construction of rail lines.
Dr. Ononuju who disclosed this in an interview on AIT, called on the minister to resign his appointment. This is due to a clause in the loan agreement, which gives China the power to takeover the rail lines, if Nigeria defaults on the loan agreement.
He alleged that the Chinese government are planning on taking over the NLNG, according to his findings.
He furthermore asked the federal government to apologise to Nigerians over the loan agreement.
