The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s endorsement for a second term does not preclude other aspirants from contesting the party’s presidential ticket.
APC National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Mohammad Argungu, made this known on Wednesday during an interactive session with journalists at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
He explained that while the party’s leadership—including the National Working Committee, the Progressives Governors Forum chaired by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, and the National Assembly leadership under Senate President Godswill Akpabio—had endorsed President Tinubu in recognition of his performance, the presidential primaries would remain open to other members who wish to contest.
