Rivers State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Adaeze Oreh, on Friday delivered the keynote address at the Health Conference 2025 in Abuja, urging renewed efforts to close healthcare gaps and ensure equitable, affordable access for all Nigerians.

Speaking on the conference theme, “Bridging the Gap: Advancing Equitable and Affordable Access to Healthcare in Nigeria,” Oreh drew from her work in Rivers State, where she has implemented blood policies aimed at reducing maternal and child mortality and expanded healthcare services to remote and conflict-affected areas.

The public health specialist and advocate for universal healthcare stressed that tackling disparities in access is critical to improving health outcomes nationwide.
