General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere has announced that the church will pay legal representation fees for some inmates at the Port Harcourt Correctional Centre who cannot afford the service.
Apostolic Chibuzor who is known for his philanthropic gestures made this known to journalists yesterday. This is after he visited the centre and donated foodstuffs and other consumables including rice, garri, hand sanitizers, detergents, clothes and other items to the inmates.
The Apostle said after a chat with some of the inmates, he found out that there are so many of them who lack the needed finance to pay for the option of fine, while some others cannot afford legal representation, promising to take care of the financial challenges.
The faith based organization reputed for taking care of the less privileged in the society have been commended by stakeholders for the kind gesture. Some have so far called on other religious bodies to emulate their kind deeds which continues to put smiles on the faces of Rivers people.
