MEMORISE: The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him. Proverbs 20:7
BIBLE READING: LUKE 11:21-22 (KJV)
21, When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:
22. But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

The responsibility of a father is great. He is the head of the home. As the husband and father, God has made him responsible for the wellbeing of his home. Therefore, if a man does not say anything, nothing will stand and everything will fall.
This is why fathers cannot afford to be spiritual babies. There are matters that can be solved by a single decree from a father, but if the man is a baby Christian, those issues would continue.
If the father is not constantly feeding his children and household with the word of God, how would he expect them to grow up to know the Lord? The effect of a fathers influence upon his children far outweighs that of the mother. Luke 11:21 says: “When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace.”
This Scripture shows us how important it is for the man – the head of the home, to be strong spiritually. God forbid that a man is not spiritually strong when the devil comes to attack the home. Unfortunately, many children reap the fruits of their fathers spiritual immaturity.
When parents tell lies in front of their children, they have already shown them how to do the same. When a man does not show love to his wife, his children will see women as objects to be used and they would have learned such wrong lessons from him.
A responsible father must reflect the image of God to his wife and children. The Bible already says that the man reflects the glory of God while the woman reflects the glory of the man (1 Corinthians 11:7).
If there is no glory upon the life of the man as a result of spiritual immaturity, what glory will the woman and the children reflect? May God cause fathers to rise to spiritual maturity, in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINT: Father, show me areas of my life where I need to grow, so that I can reflect Your glory over my family, in Jesus name.
