More reactions have continued to trail the statement by former Governor Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers State during the funeral rites of late Justice Karibi-Whyte over the weekend.
Amaechi had in the statement taken a swipe at the state government over the spate of insecurity, while also claiming that the state has returned to the days of violence orchestrated by Ateke Tom, who is now the king of Okochiri community.
In a swift reaction, the people of Okochiri kingdom have condemned the statement by Amaechi, while issuing a seven-day ultimatum for him to apologise or face legal action.
Chairman of the Okochiri Council of Chiefs, Jackson Adoki made this known to journalists on behalf of the council yesterday.
