Obio-Akpor LGA Boss Warns Landlords – The chairman of Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, Hon. Abel Solomon Eke has alleged that some landlords in the area have converted their homes to mini markets. This is against the order of the government on the closure of markets and businesses in the state.
Speaking to journalists yesterday in Obio Akpor, Abel Eke warned landlords and traders to desist from the act. He said anyone caught in the act, will be arrested and prosecuted in accordance with laws of the land. Eke lamented the stubbornness of traders while urging them to obey government directives for their own good.
The Chairman advised traders to apply systematic ways in doing their business without contravening government directives. He further stated that he has ordered councillors of the various wards to sensitize their people on the need for social distancing this period.
