The Chairman of Obio Akpor Local Government Area, Solomon Abel Eke has called on Divisional Police Officers in the area to arrest all those carrying out illegal tax collection in the LGA.
Solomon Eke who made the call in a statement yesterday said he never directed any person or group of persons to collect tax or impound vehicles on behalf of the council.
He called on organisations and business owners in the area to report any person or group of persons who come to collect tax from them as it is illegal.
He warned those engaging in the illegal act to desist from it or face the full weight of the law.
