Chairman of Labour Party in Rivers State, Hon. Deinye Pepple has reacted to the Two Million March held by supporters of Presidential candidate of the Party, Peter Obi on Saturday in Port Harcourt.
Supporters of Obi known as “OBI-dients” defied heavy downpour and walked from Oil Mill junction to Isaac Boro Park carrying placards and banners with inscriptions like “We no dey give shi shi” “we are tired of old politicians” etc.
Pepple in a statement shortly after the rally said they called for 2Million March but had 22 million March.
According to him, the turnout simply shows that Nigerians are ready to elect credible leaders that will transform the nation.
He called on Nigerians to ensure they get their Permanent Voters Cards and participate fully in the electioneering process.
Nigerians from all walks of life, including celebrities such as, Veteran Nollywood actress; Hilda Dokubo, Ace comedians; KObaba Jornsen and Adviser just to mention a few participated in the rally which has been generating reactions on social media.
