Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Council, Hon. George Ariolu has presented cheques to over One Hundred deserving indigenes and residents in Obo/Akpor Local Government Area.
The cheques were issued to the beneficiaries who were successfully screened and shortlisted for the 2024 Obio/Akpor Post Graduate Grant to Masters and Ph.D Students on Thursday.
Chief Press Secretary of the council, Ichenwo Goodluck made this known in a statement yesterday.
Ariolu, in his remarks noted that, it is as a result of God’s faithfulness and the bounding duty on his administration to impact lives that he has continued to ensure that he embarks on educational empowerment annually.
While congratulating the beneficiaries, Ariolu encouraged beneficiaries of the Post Graduate Grant to continue in their quest for greener pasture by striving to acquire further education and becoming role models to the younger generation.
