The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, has announced that corps members will start receiving a monthly allowance of N77,000 from February 2025.

Ahmed made the announcement on Thursday while addressing the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream II corps members in Katsina. He revealed that the increase has been included in the Federal Government’s 2025 budget.

According to him, once the budget is passed, by next month, corps members will start receiving N77,000 instead of the current N33,000.

He encouraged corps members to remain dedicated and hardworking throughout their service year, emphasizing that their efforts would justify the government’s enhanced support.
